Good Evening NMS Families and Staff,
As we begin the final week of school, I would like to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued support of Newport Montessori School throughout this wonderful year. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences, and we are grateful to have shared it with such an incredible community.
Please review the important updates and events for our last week of school:
Weekly Reminders
There will be no clubs this week.
After-school care will be available Monday through Wednesday.
Lower Elementary (LE), Upper Elementary (UE), and Junior Classroom (JC) students will participate in several special end-of-year activities. If you have not yet returned your child's permission slip, please see Miss Bella in the morning.
Monday
Upper Elementary and Junior Classroom: Trip to Sirius Fun Park
Lower Elementary: Visit to see their adopted cow, Ginger
Please send students with:
A cold lunch
Plenty of water
Comfortable sneakers or walking shoes
Tuesday – Whole School Field Day
Location: Horsey Park, 17 Meadow Road
Drop-off and dismissal will take place at Horsey Park.
Students attending after-school care will be transported back to NMS at 3:30 p.m. for pickup.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided for lunch.
Students should bring plenty of water.
We will also be doing a tie-dye activity. Students who wish to participate should bring an item to tie-dye.
Wednesday
Grades 1–8: Hike around Goshen Ocean followed by ice cream.
Please send a cold lunch, water, and appropriate footwear.
North and South Classrooms: Special treat at school.
Thursday – Movie Day
Students will have the opportunity to choose from several movie options being shown throughout the school. Alternative activities and supervised spaces will also be available for students who prefer not to participate in movie viewing.
8th Grade Graduation
Thursday Evening
5:00 p.m. – Staff and 8th-grade students arrive for photos
6:00 p.m. – Graduation Ceremony begins
Additional Reminders
Final hot lunch invoices will be sent home early this week.
Summer homework packets and report cards/MRX reports will be distributed at dismissal on Thursday.
