This information is shared on behalf of Newport Parks and Rec. Do you have a child who loves trucks, emergency vehicles, or big equipment? Newport Parks and Recreation's annual Touch-a-Truck event is back on Friday, June 26!
Stop by the Performing Arts Center parking lot from 3:30-6:30 p.m. to get an up-close look at police cruisers, ambulances, garbage trucks, and other vehicles that help keep our community running. You'll also have a chance to meet the people behind the wheel and learn about the work they do.
Featured vehicles and displays will include participants from the National Guard, Thompson's Sanitary, Search and Rescue, Table Mountain Forestry, and more. The Oregon Coast Art Bus will also be on site with a fun drop-in craft activity.
The event is free and open to all ages.
