OUR FIRST DANCE OF THE YEAR IS HERE! 💙🤍❤️

Eagles, get ready for PATRIOTIC COLOR WARS! 🦅🎉

📅 Friday, September 11
⏰ 3:00–4:30 PM
🎟️ Admission: $5 (tickets will be sold during lunch next week)
🍕 Includes 1 slice of pizza + a drink!

Show up and show out for your grade! 🙌
❤️ 6th Grade — RED
🤍 7th Grade — WHITE
💙 8th Grade — BLUE

Good evening, this is Wade Reifsnyder, principal of Newport Middle School calling with your weekly announcements.

Parents and students, thank you for an amazing first week back at the Eagles Nest! We are looking forward to another great week.

Kindness club will have their first meeting on Tuesday at 7:20 am in the Media Center. All students are welcome to attend.

We will host our fall volunteer training on Friday, September 11th at 10:00 am. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for our school system and are not yet approved, please plan to attend our training. Please reach out to Mindi Koczot if you have questions.

Our Booster Club and PTO will meet on the third Monday of every month at 5:30 pm. Their first meeting will be Monday, September 21st in our Media Center. All parents are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there.

Ms. Hughes will be taking a group of students to Italy in 2028. If you are interested in attending the trip, please plan to attend an informational meeting with EF Tours on Tuesday, September 15th at 6:00 pm in our Media Center. Please reach out to Elaine Hughes with any questions.

Parents, if you have not had a chance to fill out the beginning of the year paperwork and pay the tech fee already, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline to fill out the forms has been extended until September 18th. You will need to log in to the parent portal in Infinite Campus. Your child will not receive their chromebook until all necessary forms have been completed and fees have been paid. Please reach out to Ruth Jones if you need assistance in completing the forms.

Our Eagles officially made it through the FIRST WEEK of school! 🎉📚

The halls are full again, routines are starting to settle in, and we are SO excited for everything this school year has in store for our students and staff at Newport Middle School!

And what better way to celebrate making it through Week One than with a little Friday BBQ?! 🐷🔥

A HUGE thank you to the Newport BBQ Fest for treating our staff to lunch today! 🤤❤️ Nothing says “Congratulations, you survived the first week of school!” quite like a plate of BBQ followed by banana pudding. 😂

Parents, don’t forget to pay your student’s Tech Fee online so they’re ready for Chromebook distribution!

📅 Chromebook Distribution Schedule:

6th Grade — TOMORROW (Wednesday)
7th Grade — Thursday
8th Grade — Friday

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Students whose Tech Fee has not been paid will NOT receive their Chromebook.

Please take a minute to get those fees taken care of before your student’s distribution day so they can receive their Chromebook with the rest of their grade! 💙💛

Good evening, this is Wade Reifsnyder, principal of Newport Middle School calling with your weekly announcements.

Welcome back to the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking forward to another great year at Newport Middle School. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:20 am.

Thank you to all of our families who came out to Open House last week. It was great to see all of our families.

Parents, if you have not had a chance to fill out the beginning of the year paperwork and pay the tech fee already, please do so as soon as possible. You will need to log in to the parent portal in Infinite Campus. Your child will not receive their chromebook until all necessary forms have been completed and fees have been paid. Girls Soccer Tryouts are from August 24th to the 26th from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. All girls must have an updated physical on file in order to try out.
