ReNewport and WAVE Foundation will be hosting a Tree Planting in West Newport on October 24.

The amount of trees in a neighborhood have a huge impact on the people who live there by reducing pollution, lowering heat levels, and improving health through air quality. ReNewport is addressing environmental justice by increasing the the tree canopy in West Newport.

No registration is required for this event. Volunteers should meet at Bernadette Watkins Park at 10 am and bring their own gardening gloves. All other equipment will be provided.

WAVE Foundation is hosting a River Sweep October 17 with SOUTHBANK PARTNERS and Emerging Leaders Of NKY.

Want to make a difference in your community? Sign up to volunteer for the Riverfront Commons Fall Cleanup, where you'll work alongside your neighbors to clean up the banks of the Ohio River. All equipment and protective gear will be provided at this free event.

National Public Lands Day is recognized as a national day of service by the National Park Service.

This year's theme, in honor of America's 250th anniversary, is "Caring for Our Shared America". So how can you get involved?
