WE’D LOVE FOR YOUR PRESCHOOLER(S) TO JOIN US: As the Wise Owl Daycare & Learning Center closed for the day and the children left our in-home family daycare, I couldn’t help the huge smile that came across my face as I began the sanitation of today’s dishes. The children seemed to have so much fun as they continued to work on the October Crafts and Learning Modules. They learn so quickly at this age – either by improving on previously learned skill sets or developing new ones – I feel so blessed to be such an integral part of their academic, mental, physical, and social growth. One of my favorite parts of the day today was their crafting and painting at the table while I made snacks and meals. They love to be a part of the action!! I allow them to help prepare and serve certain food items… today for meals we served (breakfast) bacon *some like turkey and some pork*, with scrambled eggs *some topped with melted cheese*, buttered toast, and fresh strawberries; (lunch) cheesy rice, grilled chicken breast, broccoli, and mixed fruit cup; (snack #1) fresh fruit (cubed apples, strawberries, and grapes); (snack #2) 1/3 celery stalk with peanut butter and pretzels; (snack #3) blueberry yogurt and Kool-Aid popsicles that they set to freeze yesterday. >>>October 12, 2021

We are currently taking applications for 2 full-time enrollment positions for our in-home daycare. If interested please leave voice or text message on FB Messenger or at 423-721-0312. Site visit is required after application is selected to proceed to next step. Hours are Mon-Fri. 8am-4pm. Age 2 yrs-6 yrs. $150/wk. We provide breakfast, lunch, and 3 snacks, along with learning activities throughout the day and weekly progress assessments. References from current parents are available. Located on 4th St, Newport, near hospital. *This is a daycare and learning center, not a babysitter, you pay for the spot, not for your child's attendance.

TODAY

Today like millions of other Americans,
I went to work.
I didn't design a beautiful skyscraper,
I didn't write a proposal to save an endangered species,
and I didn't drive a bus or fly a plane,
or write a crucial bill that would someday become a law.
However, I did spend time with some very important people.
I read a story to an attorney,
I sang the alphabet song with a Supreme Court Justice.
I ate lunch with a pastor,
and patted the back of an engineer until he fell asleep.
Taught a policeman how to tie his shoes,
and introduced an astronaut to the color red.
Tomorrow, who knows whom I'll meet,
but one thing is for sure.....
They will be very IMPORTANT
For they are our precious children,
and the hope of our very future.

The German Shepherd is coming out in my baby Shepsky, Luna (she just turned 1 yr old and we adopted her March 1). She spends the 1st 20 minutes of her day waiting for the children to arrive at Daycare!! She gets so excited... she welcomes them all with love, watches over them during nap and outside play time! YES, I CHOSE THE BEST THERAPY ANIMAL FOR ME AND OTHERS!!!
