Big news for the Dual Academy family: both our partner university's and our own accreditations are now official.

Dual Academy is accredited by Cognia . Our partner college, NewU University, Washington DC is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Dual Academy is the high school. NewU University is the college. Together, they let a student get most of college done before graduating high school, then finish a bachelor's degree in 1 year at NewU, or transfer to a college of their choice.

The shortest, most affordable path to a bachelor's degree in the nation is now made possible by these two education partners, and is validated by both a K-12 and a higher education accreditor.

WE ARE ACCREDITED.

NewU University is now accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

What it means: every NewU degree is now an accredited degree, including our very first graduates, the Class of 2025 Trailblazers, and this year's Class of 2026. Retroactive to March 2025. Recognized across the country and the world.

Our first class enrolled and graduated before accreditation was even final. They bet on us. Today that bet pays off: their degrees are accredited.

NewU is the first 3-year, 120-credit bachelor's degree university in the nation. A real degree in 3 years, not 4, with manageable schedules and workloads. Less time, less money, and no mountain of student loans. We filed the day it was allowed, back in October 2022, and earned our accreditation less than 4 years later, faster than most new schools, and we did it ourselves without government funding or big donors.
