We are incredibly thankful to CNU history alumnus, J. Michael Moore, curator of Lee Hall, for assisting history major Anna Lynn Thornsberry with her service learning project. She is exploring the history of the balloon school at Lee Hall during WWI and the beginnings of Ft. Eustis based on a new photo collection at the Virginia War Museum. Captains helping captains!

On March 2, at 6:30 p.m. EST, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci will become the seventh recipient of the National Museum of American History Great Americans Medal for his extraordinary leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and lifetime devotion to the treatment and eradication of infectious diseases.

The virtual program will feature an interview with Fauci by Smithsonian Regent David M. Rubenstein. Learn more about the medal—the museum’s signature honor—and register to join us for the occasion here: http://s.si.edu/GA-Fauci.
