Below is a letter to our KMES families from Dr Ireland.

Dear Knollwood Meadows Families,
After two incredible years of serving as the Proud Principal of Knollwood Meadows Elementary School, I am writing to thank all families, staff, and stakeholders for their commitment to our community. I am eagerly pursuing my dream of working in higher education.
Serving the students, families, and staff of Knollwood Meadows has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career. Together, we have celebrated achievements, overcome challenges, and remained committed to ensuring that every scholar grows in greatness while striving for excellence. I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished as a school community.
From classroom celebrations and family events to academic successes and school-wide initiatives, I have cherished every opportunity to connect with our students and families. The support, partnership, and trust you have shown me have made my time at Knollwood Meadows truly meaningful.
Together, we have strengthened a culture of excellence, achieved significant milestones, and ensured that Knollwood Meadows remains a place where every scholar is valued, challenged, and supported. We have also made tremendous academic strides. Preliminary data indicates that Knollwood Meadows will remain Fully Accredited and On-Track while making significant progress toward earning a Distinguished rating. Our preliminary school performance data shows an increase from 80.1 points to 84 points—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of our students, staff, families, and community partners. This growth did not happen by chance; it is the result of a shared belief that every scholar can succeed and excel.
While I am excited to begin this new chapter, leaving Knollwood Meadows is bittersweet. This school will always hold a special place in my heart. The memories we have created together and the relationships we have built will remain with me for years to come.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your Principal. It has been a joy to watch our Knights learn, grow, and succeed. I am confident that the future of Knollwood Meadows is bright and that our students will continue to thrive.
I wish each of you continued success, happiness, and countless opportunities to grow in greatness while striving for excellence. I look forward to supporting Knollwood Meadows' new Principal, Ms. Purnell, as she takes the reins beginning July 1.

🎓💙 Celebrating Our Amazing 5th Grade Knights! 💙🎓

What a wonderful week of celebrations as we honored the accomplishments of our 5th graders and prepared them for their next adventure—middle school!

The festivities began with class tie-dye t-shirts and a fun Pajama Day movie. On Wednesday, students and families enjoyed a special BBQ celebration together. Thursday was filled with memorable moments as each student received a keepsake goody bag, followed by their Promotion Ceremony and final elementary school dance that evening. We wrapped up the week on Friday with extra recess and refreshing ice pops!

We are incredibly proud of all our 5th Grade Knights for their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout their elementary school years. As they move on to middle school, we wish them success, happiness, and many new opportunities.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Once a Knight, Always a Knight! 💙🎉
