🚒 Safety First at Warwick River Christian! 🔥

Today we held our first fire drill of the school year! Our students and staff did a wonderful job practicing how to safely and calmly exit the building in case of an emergency.

We’re proud of our students for listening carefully, following directions, and helping us make safety a priority at WRC. ❤️💙

A great first drill and an important step toward a safe and successful school year! 🙌

PURPLE group is the last group we will highlight for our SUMMER CAMP staff members!! Purple group had all of our campers that were in fourth grade and higher. Ms. Marianna and Mr. Noah were their fearless leaders and kept all the students engaged and busy!
Ms. Marianna has been with our program for a few years in our LC and this is her first summer in summer camp!! I think she enjoyed it!!
Mr. Noah spent his first summer with us in summer camp and he survived! He will be with us in before/after care for some of the year as he will be attending classes at CNU for his sophomore year.

Our summer camp program ended yesterday, but we are still highlighting our amazing staff members!!!
Mrs. Amy, who is normally with our LC children, joined us for summer camp this year in the YELLOW (rising kindergarteners) group!! She has been with our program for almost 10 years and loves teaching!!
Ms. Redette (“Ms. Red”) joined us for her first year in summer camp!! She has returned to VCU where she is a sophomore majoring in biology, with hopes of going on to med school.
Ms. Tori has been with our program for a few years and will also be with us for a little during the b/a program. When she’s not here with us, she will be taking her pre-requisite classes to transfer to Riverside College of Health Sciences for Nursing.

Summer campers had a special visit from our local K-9 unit! 🐾👮‍♂️ The kids loved getting to meet this amazing K-9, learn a little about the important work they do, and of course give plenty of pets! Such a fun and memorable experience for our campers! ☀️🐕💙
