Our littles had a GREAT first week of school! We spent the week learning procedures and routines, making new friends, and sharing lots of smiles along the way.

Open House was a HUGE success!

The excitement was everywhere as we welcomed our little learners and their families to Marshall! From meeting teachers and exploring classrooms to gathering important information, it was a wonderful evening filled with smiles and excitement for the year ahead.

Our staff had the privilege of spending time with Doc Brown, who reminded us of so many powerful things!

Two messages really stood out: Break the cycle” and I goes before WHY.” Before we can pour into others and live out our WHY, we have to remember the I—we have to take care of ourselves, too. We must make time to recharge, reflect, and give ourselves the same care we so freely give to others.

Thank you, Doc Brown, for the laughter, encouragement, and meaningful reminders as we begin a new school year. Here’s to breaking cycles, taking care of ourselves, finding our WHY, and making a difference for our students every single day!

Yesterday, our Marshall staff was treated to a delicious breakfast provided by Ms. Renee Foster and Reverend Dr. Termaine Johnson of Zion Baptist Church. We are so grateful for their kindness, generosity, and continued support of our Marshall family!

Please plan to attend one of the upcoming Parent Orientations listed below. These sessions are a great opportunity to learn about the upcoming school year and get any questions answered.

Please note that while we already love our little learners and can't wait to meet them, these orientation sessions are for parents and guardians only.

Free meals are provided to all children and teens on a first come, first serve basis at locations throughout Newport News on the days and times listed. All meals must be consumed on site. All sites will be closed on June 19 and July 3, 2026.
