Pamela Adcock McClelland, 71, of Yorktown VA, passed away on Monday April 15, 2024 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Pam was born to Raymond Forest and Margaret Adcock in Newport News, VA. Pam met Bernard Chesley McClelland, Bernie, in high school and married her soulmate on May 27, 1972. Pam and Bernie had 2 children, Bryan and Brittany. Her lifelong vow to be by his side saw them together until the very end. She has been his guiding light, seeing him through his current journey with Dementia.
Pam loved her family and friends, taking trips with them every year. Annual Outer Banks beach trips were her favorite to enjoy fun in the sun and to escape the daily stresses of life. Her scenic mountain trips combined her love of being with family and the beautiful views.
In 2002, Pam retired from Verizon and filled her days updating her house, gardening and most of all, pet sitting. She found joy in taking care of folks that needed help for various reasons and spent countless hours dedicated to providing selfless attention to others.
She wore her title as “Gammy” proud to her 5 grandchildren. Whether by Sunday zooms or daily check-ins, she shared her love from Virginia to Texas.
