My Story

I began working at the age of 13 cutting grass around my neighborhood. At 15, I was washing pots and pans four hours a night at a local cafeteria. At 16, I was old enough to work at McDonald's Restaurant where I saved enough to buy my first car. From there I graduated high school and went into the Army where I was stationed at Fort Benning, GA.

I left the military at age 22 and joined the Newport News Police Department where I worked for the next 32 years, commanding such units as Major Crimes and SWAT. It was a great career and I loved what I did, but there comes a point in time where life evolves. I worked and studied hard for the National and Virginia Real Estate Exams, which I'm proud to say I passed the first time; a feat which is in the Real Estate community minority.

I have grown to look at what I do now as a continuation of service work. I love being able to provide a need for a family or a single mom, military, or police. They need someone they can trust, someone’s who’s walked in their shoes. These things drive me each day to succeed.

I hold a BA in Political Science. I have attended the Kennedy School of Leadership in Boston; and the Mid-Atlantic Police Supervisors Institute here at CNU. I hold a Black Belt in Hapkido Karate.

I chose Rose and Womble as my Real Estate Broker because I wanted the best and the brightest for my support system.
