📍Looking for Buildable Land in Williamsburg, VA – Half to One Acre
Realtor friends and industry connections — I’m working with a client who’s planning to relocate back to Virginia and is looking for buildable land in the Williamsburg area, ideally between ½ acre to 1 acre.
Their goal is to begin building a custom home by February 2026, so we’re exploring land options now to ensure a smooth timeline.
If you know of any on- or off-market parcels — or something coming soon — I’d love to connect. Residential zoning, lightly wooded or cleared preferred.
Let’s collaborate and help this buyer get back home!
📩 DM me or shoot me a message if something comes to mind. Thanks in advance!

When Adaptability Turns Into Exhaustion
There’s a difference between being flexible and being forced to constantly recalibrate.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how often professionals in support and leadership-adjacent roles are told to “just adapt.” Adapt to new preferences. Adapt to shifting directions. Adapt to what someone wants today versus what they asked for yesterday.
At some point, adaptability stops being a strength and starts becoming exhausting.
The part people don’t say out loud
It’s hard to do your job well when expectations change without warning.
One day, you’re told:
“Use this method so things don’t get missed.”
So you do.
Then later:
“Why are you using that method?”
Now you’re left trying to figure out whether the issue is your performance — or the lack of consistency in direction.
And that’s the part that wears you down.
This isn’t about being resistant to change
I’m not opposed to feedback.
I’m not opposed to adjusting.
I’m not opposed to learning how someone prefers things.
What is difficult is being expected to read minds, absorb frustration, and correct course — without a stable process to anchor to.
You can’t win in a system where:
the preference changes,
the expectation isn’t documented,
and the correction only comes after irritation sets in.
The unspoken burden of “support roles”
When you’re the person responsible for keeping things moving, preventing delays, and catching details others don’t have time for, inconsistency hits differently.
You’re not just doing tasks — you’re managing risk.
And when something is missed, it doesn’t fall back on the preference.
It falls on the person doing the supporting.
That’s why clarity matters.
That’s why consistency matters.
That’s why systems matter.
What I’ve learned (the hard way)
You cannot out-adjust a lack of clarity.
You can be competent, proactive, organized, and still feel drained if the goalposts keep moving.
At some point, the solution isn’t more flexibility.
It’s clear expectations, stable processes, and mutual accountability.
For anyone feeling this right now
If you’re tired, it doesn’t mean you’re weak.
If you’re frustrated, it doesn’t mean you’re unprofessional.
If you’re questioning whether it should be this hard — it shouldn’t.
Wanting consistency is not a character flaw.
It’s a reasonable expectation.
And no one should have to keep adjusting just to survive someone else’s indecision.

After a proposed apartment complex backed by local basketball legend Allen Iverson was voted down earlier this year, the project is now moving forward.
