Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool

Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool Hidenwood Presbyterian School serves children from age 2 through second grade. We also serve Kindergarten and first grade students.

Our preschool activities are designed to help children develop skills in preparation for the formal learning that will be required in kindergarten and beyond. A typical day includes: circle time for group discussion and sharing, playground time, creative art projects, directed learning of new concepts, singing and moving to music and rhythm instruments, snack time, free play in classroom, and use

of learning games. Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool is a participant in the Virginia Quality Initiative, a state program to improve quality in early childhood care and education across the state of Virginia. With the majority of a child’s brain development occurring during the first five years of life, high quality care and education is critical. Hidenwood has been awarded four stars which means the program’s quality surpasses standards set by various regulatory agencies.
