One day last month while I was meditating, I heard these words: “𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭.” I immediately felt my body relax. Duh! Yes. How often do we fight to keep from losing something that isn’t meant for us? Whether it be a relationship, a client, a house, anything, if it’s not real, meaning if it’s not intended for you, let it go. We make up meanings and have unhealthy attachments to things, circumstances and people. Let that s**t go. ⁣

This is not the same as detachment. It’s non-attachment. It’s being okay with that is. And staying in the present moment. Not “future tripping.” ⁣

Buddha says…wait for it…”𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.” Geez. 𝗛𝗼𝘄’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼?

This always makes me laugh. Ain’t it the truth? If you are doing this work, you know. ⁣

We are so quick to look outside ourselves for the answers…to seek someone else to blame. ⁣
⁣
Feeling triggered? Whose fault is it? I’ve posted before on the gifts of the trigger and yet, we still forget sometimes and think someone else is behind our problems. 😒 ⁣
