Max loves pugs 🐶, negotiating deals 🤑 on completing homework and improving grades to earn pug stickers for his Chromebook, and making products 🛍 to sell through his future online store (launch TBD). 🤓My super cute 2nd grader and his mom brought me a couple donuts 🍩 from their favorite bakery, Lovin Oven Bakery in Espanola, on their way in to our reading and spelling lesson from Chimayo. Thank you Bradley & Pam! Today, we made up sentences about Bigfoot and raising goats and chickens as we practiced pronouncing new words and typing with more than one finger. "LAHS Juniors have the option of taking the SAT with Essay [on site at the high school on Tuesday, April 13]. ONLY current LAHS juniors may take the test this day.

This SAT administration replaced the PARCC test for Juniors in the New Mexico Public Education Department's (NMPED) testing program, beginning Spring 2020. This is the same SAT offered on weekends by College Board at testing sites around the world, but this administration is FREE to all LAHS Juniors who are interested. You must sign up through the school, and NOT ON COLLEGE BOARD WEBSITE.

While this test is normally required by the NMPED for all Juniors, it is OPTIONAL this year due to the pandemic. Students in Topper Virtual Academy (TVA) MAY opt to take this test, but it will only be administered in-person, on-site, during the prescribed window."
