Welcome to the "CBS" alumni who visit, live, or work in beautiful Orange County, California! CBSC-OC is a regional alumni clubs that provide events and communication systems to help you connect with other alumni and to help enrich your professional, social, and cultural lives.
On May 28 Columbia’s Professor Moallemi just gave us a fascinating discussion of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence applications in Quantitative Investing, which our OC Club had the honor of introducing. With engineering degrees from MIT & Cambridge, a PhD from Stanford, and as partner in a $200MM Hedge fund (with a 39% compounded return), Prof Moallemi never disappoints. 65 California CBS alumni attended our event.

Columbia Business School alumni are cordially invited to join Ciamac Moallemi, associate professor, Decision, Risk, and Operations, for a live webinar. Professor Moallemi will discuss developments in the use of artificial intelligence/machine learning in the investment process, and explain/demystify how quantitative investment managers work, as well as touch on the current challenges. He will explain his view as to where the industry is going and then shift to a Q&A
