South Coast Music Together is part of the Music Together family,- an independent licensed center of the award-winning international reserach-based music and movement program for infants and toddlers, ages birth through 4 years and the adult care-givers who love them. The program is based on the idea that all children are musical, that it is in fact as natural to be musical as it is to walk and talk, and that it is just as much of a birthright. Children are immersed in the musical learning environment created in each class by well-trained, warm and enthusiastic instructors, together with the adults they are most emotionally bonded to. In this musically rich, (9 different song collections), playful and non-formal atmosphere, over a period of time the children eventually begin to sing in tune and move accurately to a beat,- known as basic music competence. Music Together was founded in 1987 in Princeton, New Jersey by early childhood expert Kenneth Guilmartin and is co-authored by Dr. Lili Levinowitz, one of this country's leading researchers on early childhood music development.
