Happy St. Patrick’s day
It's easy to see why Ireland is called the Emerald Isle!
Green grassland dominates this image taken from space in 2010 by NASA's Aqua satellite. Though Irish skies are fully cloudy more than 50% of the time, bringing rain that contributes to Ireland's comparatively temperate climate, Aqua was fortunate enough to capture this photo on a nearly-cloudless day.
