✨ Testimony Tuesday ✨

This week, we are proud to spotlight one of our incredible committee members, Amy Cardiff, for speaking on behalf of The Literacy Project during our recent committee meeting alongside fellow committee members and supporters of our mission. 💙📚

The video also highlights special moments from our most recent graduation at Bishop Manor in Santa Ana, a celebration of growth, perseverance, and the life-changing impact literacy can have on families and students.

One story that especially touched our hearts was hearing from a former student in the KidWorks after-school program, one of our valued community collaborators. Through the support of programs like KidWorks and The Literacy Project, this remarkable student has now graduated high school and has officially been accepted to USC! 🎓❤️💛

We were also honored to have Lisa, Director of Development at KidWorks, present and photographed during this meaningful event as we continue working together to create brighter futures for students and families in our community.

Stories like these remind us why our mission matters. Literacy changes lives — and these students are proof of what’s possible when a community comes together to support education, opportunity and hope.

✨ Transformational Tuesday ✨

On April 29th, we celebrated another incredible group of graduates from The Literacy Project! 📚⭐️

These bright students worked hard, built confidence, and reached an important milestone in their literacy journey, and we could not be more proud of them. Their smiles say it all. 💛

A special thank you to our amazing teacher, Millie Knowles, for the love, patience, and encouragement she pours into every child, and to Ivoone Chapa, our School Readiness Program Coordinator, for helping make moments like this possible.

We also want to recognize the parents and siblings who came to support these students on their special day. It truly takes a community to help children thrive.

Every certificate handed out represents more than achievement, it represents confidence, opportunity, and a brighter future through reading. 📚

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who lead with love, inspire with grace, and leave a legacy that changes lives. 💕

Today, on this special Savor Sunday, we are honoring our incredible founder and fearless leader, Sue Grant, a woman whose heart for children and passion for literacy continues to impact generations.

Through faith, compassion, and unwavering dedication, Sue has helped build more than an organization through The Literacy Project… she has built hope, opportunity, and a future for struggling readers everywhere. 📚✨

As we celebrate mothers today, we also celebrate the nurturing spirit that empowers children to believe in themselves and discover the joy of reading.

Thank you, Sue, for being an example of strength, elegance, leadership, and love. Your legacy is written in every child whose life has been transformed through literacy. 🤍

We can’t wait to continue celebrating this beautiful mission at Savor on October 2nd. Stay tuned for what’s to come. ✨
