When was the last time you looked at what you already have and created something new with it?

Today I found myself staring into my pantry, looking at ingredients I already had on hand and wondering what I could make.

Instead of running to the store, I decided to get creative and try a new recipe—a Tahini cake that is somewhere between a cake, a breakfast bread, and a snack bar.

The result was delicious!

As I was baking, I was reminded of my love for Mediterranean food and the many beautiful places I’ve visited over the years.

It’s amazing how a simple recipe can bring back memories of people, places, and experiences that have touched your life.

Sometimes we spend so much time focusing on what we don’t have that we forget to appreciate what’s already available to us.

Whether it’s ingredients in a pantry, opportunities in front of us, or gifts within us, there is often more possibility than we realize.

This little baking adventure was a good reminder that something wonderful can come from what is already sitting on the shelf.

Have you made anything creative lately using ingredients—or resources—you already had?

I’d love to hear about it.

Have you ever stopped to notice how the energy you put into the world finds its way back to you?

Today my USPS mail carrier delivered a “package” that turned out to be a sandwich from a local deli.

I’ve had the same carrier for years, even through a couple of moves.

This isn’t the first kind thing he’s done, and he’s genuinely a good person.

But I think there’s something deeper here too.

Kindness has a way of creating more kindness.

Over the years, we’ve simply treated each other with respect, appreciation, and humanity.

Nothing extraordinary.

Just showing up as decent people.

Sometimes we look around at our lives and wonder why certain things keep happening.

While not everything is within our control, it’s worth asking: What am I putting out into the world?

The relationships, opportunities, and experiences we cultivate often begin with the energy we bring to them.

What is one small act of kindness you’ve experienced—or offered—recently?

I’d love to hear about it.
