Hello Northside families!

We are having such a wonderful time in Pre-K and Kindergarten learning all about community helpers and the importance of serving others! To celebrate, our little ones had a blast dressing up as the heroes they look up to-from doctors and firefighters to teachers and builders.

A huge thank you to our local Coweta County Sheriff Department for stopping by to visit us! The students were absolutely thrilled to meet the K-9 unit and learn firsthand about the vital role these officers and their canine partners play in keeping our community safe. It was a fantastic, hands-on lesson in how we can all contribute to helping others.

We had a fantastic first meeting today with our Northside Elementary PTSO. This year, as part of our Leader in Me program, we added our students to have a voice and synergize with our PTSO to make this year at Northside the very best! A big thank you to our Northside Elementary PTSO for their dedication to Nurture, Educate, and Serve our school community!

Also, in case you are still interested in winning a VIP parking spot for afternoon pickup, the last day is tomorrow, September 3rd. Our PTSO will have a live drawing on Friday!

Some highlights from this week include our September PTSO meeting at 1:30pm on Wednesday, and we will have Dress as Your Favorite Book Character Day on Friday to kick off our Book Fair.

Next week, don´t forget there is no school on Labor Day, and our Book Fair and Grandparents Week begins next week.

We kicked off the school year with our first Leader in Me assembly! It was such a joy to recognize the incredible leadership and genius we are already seeing in our Cougars!

A huge thank you to Cargill for sponsoring a Leadership t-shirt for every single student! Our students will be wearing these with pride at all our Leader in Me events, field trips, and other special happenings throughout the year.

We are so proud of our Cougar Leaders!

We look forward to seeing our Northside families on Thursday, August 20th for our Annual Title 1 Curriculum Night at 6:00pm. Learn more about your child´s grade level standards, this year´s goals, and parent involvement opportunities. Champ says he will see you there by the ice cream truck provided by Foundation Christian Church. Go Cougars!
