Facebook asks..."What's on your mind?" Well, I feel obligated as the Principal of Central Lutheran School to share what's not only on my mind, but on my heart.
Today, I had the privilege to visit classrooms. I was in one classroom and while the teacher was going over procedures for an activity on the class schedule, she interjected about why we have rules and why does God have rules for us. This spiraled into all kinds of comments and then went into questions.
Faith questions by these young curious children. Questions that showed me these young children wanted to build on their Faith and strengthen the Faith they have been freely given by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Most were really good questions they were asking. I kept waiting for the teacher to cut them off and move on with what she had planned. Yet, she didn't. She allowed the children to ask and comment on Faith related statements.
What's on my mind and heart?
That CLS is very blessed to have this teacher here and all the staff we have.
CLS is blessed to be a place where parents can bring their children so their Faith can be strengthened every day in every subject.
CLS is a place that was and is FOUNDED IN FAITH 60 years ago by those who were called to start a Lutheran School so that these particular children, 60 years later could grow and strengthen their Faith.
Thank you to those people who had that vision 60 years ago. Thank you to the teachers who work so hard to share the Faith every day. Thank you to the parents who believe it is that important to "Train up a child in they way they should go, so when they are old they do not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Thank you to our association churches: St Stephen's Lutheran Church, St John Lutheran of Newhall, and St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone for their continued support of Central Lutheran School. May God continue to bless our year a head and may we all remain to be FOUNDED IN FAITH!
