Newfield High School partook in the first Time Out Tuesday last week. The afternoon was dedicated to taking workshops that focused on mental health, mindfulness, and healthy activities. Students chose from 9 different workshops and were able to attend 3. Students had an opportunity to be with our Pre-K students, visit with ducklings, engage in mindful coloring, play in a music jam session, go on a walk in Emery Woods, exercise outdoors, play recreational games, and work in the school vegetable garden. Some students participated in a team building exercise by playing in a kickball tournament. The end of the day was culminated by having a Sources of Strength pep rally to focus on mental health, positive friends, mentors, and healthy activities. A sincere thank you to our faculty who created and led the workshops. Go Trojans!
