At the Niagara Power Authority, Xander Bowman, Cece Mecca, and Scarlett Mecca volunteered in the kids fishing area. They assisted children by baiting up hooks, taking fish off the hooks, and assisting the new groups with getting poles every ten minutes. The Niagara River Anglers Association was very thankful for their help!

Students from Newfane Middle school participate in a learn and serve program at the Newfane Historical Society. The students clean every building at the society before both festivals held there. The members of the society commented that our students were polite and hardworking! Way to be a Panther!

A message from Mr. Thibault: This guitar will be going to "Bills Elvis ". Then it will ideally be signed by Josh, and then auctioned off with the proceeds going to a good cause. Bills Elvis, aka John Lang, is the son a Newfane Sports Hall Of Famer, Mr. Richard Lang. Mr. Lang coached wrestling at Newfane for many years.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating our amazing summer readers with a special Books & Breakfast event in our library!

These students spent part of their summer reading and completing a project, and we were so excited to recognize their hard work. Students and their families joined us for a morning of c***r, donuts, breakfast pizza, and celebration! Each student also received a new book and an ice cream gift card to be redeemed in our cafeteria as a little reward for a job well done.

We are so proud of our summer readers and grateful to the families who joined us to celebrate their accomplishments.

We're already looking forward to growing our Books & Breakfast program next year and celebrating even more readers!

Yesterday while celebrating Dress for Anywhere but School day, Officer Needle joined us to share his heroic experiences serving two tours in Iraq. He has come in annually for four years. This aligns with our unit on 9/11 and the Wars on Terror that were fought afterwards.

6th Grade Paper Tower Challenge! 🏗️
6th grade Technology students took on their first Engineering Design Challenge!

Working in teams, students had 10 sheets of paper, 24 inches of tape, and just 20 minutes to build the tallest free-standing tower they could.

There was lots of teamwork, problem-solving, testing, and redesigning along the way!

🏆 Our winning tower measured an impressive 50 inches tall — and stood completely on its own!

Awesome job by all of our 6th grade engineers! 👏
