NewBrook Elementary School NewBrook Elementary School Thank you for visiting the NewBrook Elementary School page. I have time for you!

This page is a positive place where we celebrate the work of our students and staff and further communicate upcoming events and calendar items. However, this page is neither a “public forum” nor a “limited public forum.” Our intent is not to exchange ideas and opinions on our site; we would like to limit this page to the one-way communication from the school. In keeping with these goals, any comments will be deleted, regardless of their content. If a member of the community would like to communicate with our community at large, they should contact our office. If you have any issues or concerns or if you wish to give positive feedback about our school and programming, please contact me directly. Thank you,

Today was the finale of our Read-a-thon here at NewBrook. Thanks to our ASTRONOMICAL PTO for organizing this event, to our families for encouraging their children, and to the entire staff for working so hard to make the school day FUN.

The children had a blast. For example:

"This day is better than Halloween!" Aliyah

"My favorite part of the Read-a-thon was the READING!" Karter

"This is the best day ever!" Aria

"This is the best library ever!" Coleson

"My favorite part was reading to my little brother for two hours every night!" Olive

"My favorite part was reading with my mom! Willa

"My favorite part was listening to my audiobook!" Landon

"Best Friday EVER!" Jonas

Our students read for a total of 36,410 minutes! Nice!

Thanks to our Kindergarten teacher, Shelly Bostrom, who raised a monarch butterfly with our kindred in their classroom. They released her this week in our school garden!
