So appreciative to Vida Frank and Wilfred Jumbo for the 3 tier skirt workshop.
Six individuals completed a skirt this evening. The individuals were also put into a drawing for one of Wilfred's beautiful designed skirt. Tristian Lee was the lucky winner.
The atmosphere in the sewing room was nothing but positive and full of laughter.
One more rug was completed and taken off the loom. A big THANK YOU to our weaving instructor, Pamela Brown for being so patient with all that wanted to learn how to weave.
The gym is usually busy with 5 on 5 basketball games.
Our walkers and runners have been consistent with their 1.5 miles.
Ladies wanted to complete their skirts for Zumba, Jonita but it didn't happen. Thank you for the Zumba classes.
Everyone in attendance have been enjoying their time at summer evening recreation.

We had a surprise visit by Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren during summer evening recreation.
It was an honor to show him what we started many years ago for our community members to learn a craft or hobby and use it to be sustainable.
It was great to talk to some of his staff members about our school, students and community. They were so impressed with the location of where our school is. One might return with his family to enjoy the activities.
Thanks to one of our teachers who invited President Nygren, when he participated in Newcomb's JMI event this evening.
We had rug weaving, sewing, STEM/Legos, board games, ZUMBA, Run/Walk, diamond painting, basketball and open gym this evening.
Join us tomorrow evening for the 5K Run/Walk Series at 7pm, which is every Wednesday, as well as all the other fun activities.
