Today we celebrate and recognize the contributions that au pairs make to their host families. This program opens minds to different cultures, countries and fosters global awareness. Au pairs have provide their host families with the safety net of consistent childcare during times of instability. This has been a challenging year, and I applaud and thank these amazing young people for their flexibility and efforts during difficult times!

It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years! It's been a pleasure working with the many families and au pairs over these years. I want to thank my LCC colleagues and the staff at Cultural Care Au Pair for their support - especially in a year like 2020.

I am so grateful to have caring au pairs in my group willing to donate their time to a local cause. Yesterday we helped prepare 300 meals with the Pettengill House Saturday Night Meal program. This volunteer group provides hot nutritious meal to local families in need.

I was so excited to hear that within my group there were nominations for au pair and host family of the year! It's great to learn how much they have enjoyed their year together and experiences. Here is a post about some of the finalists for 2019.

We received a record number of nominations this year for our Host Family of the Year award! Over 700 au pairs wrote to us about their host families, sharing inspiring stories of cultural exchange and heartwarming examples of how their second families in the USA have changed their lives. Congratulations to our 15 finalists who we'll be spotlighting on Facebook all week!
