Let’s move onto another occurrence at the beach… high tide! What is high tide? What happens at high tide? What happens to the sea creatures and shells on the beach when hide tide occurs? Do they move and get displaced? Do they remain where they are? We will use a scale to help us determine if the weight of the shells and sea creatures help determine if they stay in place during high tide or move…

We had a fabulous Knoll-Edge Beach day on Monday! We have extended this beach theme and today we studied tide pools. What are they? What are they made up of? What types of creatures do we find in tide pools? We will examine a tide pool on our iPad and create one ourselves! We will then go tide pooling in the tide pools we created!
