Earlier this week at the Ohio Excels AIM Hire Conference, one message came through loud and clear: every student deserves access to opportunity, regardless of where they live.

Discussions throughout the day focused on helping students better navigate education and workforce pathways, creating stronger connections between employers and schools, and moving beyond the outdated idea of "college or career." Instead, the focus was on helping each student find the combination of experiences, education, and opportunities that will lead to a meaningful future.

At Future Plans, this work isn't just a conversation. It's what we do every day. Through career assessments, coaching, career exploration, and workforce connections, we're helping young people discover their strengths, explore possibilities, and navigate what comes next.

Thank you to Ohio Excels for bringing together leaders from across Ohio's education and workforce ecosystem to collaborate around a shared goal: creating clearer pathways to brighter futures for every student.

✨ Big News from Dragonfly Village! ✨

Future Plans is excited to announce that we have been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Millstone Fund to support improvements to Dragonfly Village's historic gym space.

The funding will help cover critical HVAC and electrical upgrades needed to transform the building into a safe, functional space for workforce training, education, wellness activities, recovery support services, and community programming.

We're incredibly grateful to the Millstone Fund for investing in this project and helping bring new life to a historic community space. Together, we're creating more opportunities for individuals and families to learn, grow, and thrive in the southwest Ohio region.

🎉 We're proud to share that Future Plans and our flagship initiative, The GRIT - Growing Rural Independence Together Project, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Higher Education and organizations across the state, are part of Ohio's historic $50 million federal Talent Search award.

Ohio received the largest award in the nation and was the only new state selected for this funding opportunity.

This transformative investment will support approximately 20,000 students annually across 130 Ohio schools, expanding access to career exploration, college and career advising, tutoring, financial aid guidance, and other critical resources that help young people plan for successful futures.

At Future Plans, we're honored to contribute to this statewide effort through The GRIT Project and our shared commitment to ensuring that every student, regardless of background or geography, has access to the guidance, opportunities, and support they need to thrive.
