On the Friday before the First Day of School, our constituent pastors led our school staff and Maranatha volunteers on a prayer walk around campus — covering our students, our families, our staff, our departments, and our facilities in prayer. A beautiful, blessed reminder in action: this is God’s school. 🐊💚

🐊⭐️ Joey Kim is a graduate of Andrews University where he majored in Biology. His experience as a teaching assistant in college and his work with small groups at his local church are experiences that drew Joey to the teaching field. He will be teaching all the science classes at NPAA including Biology, Chemistry and Physics. One of his favorite pastimes is cooking for his friends and family.

We are so excited to have this new team!! Please continue to pray for God’s guidance and blessings over NPAA as we prepare for the new school year!!

🐊⭐️ Maeci Jeon is the new Spanish and History teacher at NPAA. She feels incredibly privileged to be a part of the team! She earned a B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Translation Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and she is looking forward to being back in Southern California. She also graduated from Pacific Union College in December 2025 with a Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Education.
She aims to create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to grow. She is committed to inspiring her students and helping them realize that, with determination, they can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
She looks forward to getting to know her students and working together for a successful school year.

🐊⭐️ Jeni Bello—our new Athletic Director, PE & Health teacher!

Jeni is a graduate of the NPAA Class of 1997, and got her Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in 2002. She has worked as a physical therapist in hospital, outpatient, and home health settings. She spent the last three years serving as the Athletic Director at Conejo Adventist Elementary School. Jeni lives in Camarillo with her husband Armando and sons Aidan and Aleck who will be a Senior and a Freshman this year at NPAA. “It is especially meaningful for me to return and serve a school that has been such an important part of my life. I look forward to supporting our students, and helping our school and athletic programs thrive.“

🐊⭐️ Up next, Eliza Lew, our new administrative assistant!

Eliza Lew is a Business graduate from CSU Channel Islands and an alum of NPAA. She has previously worked at Conejo Adventist Preschool as a teacher and as a writing tutor at CSU Channel Islands’ Writing and Multiliteracy Center. She also works for AR Pipeline assisting with payroll and invoices. She is a Newbury Park native and enjoys music and going to concerts. She is looking forward to working at NPAA and helping out wherever needed.
