Luke 8:4-15 | The Parable of the Sower

This school year, our chapel services are diving deep into the Parables of Jesus, uncovering the timeless wisdom behind his teachings. We kicked off this month by exploring the Parable of the Sower and reflecting on what it means to cultivate a heart ready for God's word. ECHS Senior Elise Lousignont has been selected as one of 10 Indiana 4-H State Ambassadors, representing 4-H across all 92 Indiana counties! đź’š

Elise has been involved in 4-H since kindergarten, developing valuable skills in leadership, service, and public speaking along the way. She credits her time at ECS with helping her become a more welcoming and confident leader—qualities she’ll carry with her as she represents Indiana 4-H throughout the coming year.

This week, our Preschool–8th grade students wrapped up their first chapels of the school year, focused on the Parable of the Sower.

Through worship, teaching, and time together, our students were reminded of the importance of hearing God’s Word and allowing it to take root in their hearts. 🙏🦅

At Evansville Christian High School, 100% of students who took AP Calculus, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry earned a score of 3 or higher on their AP exams.

We are incredibly proud of Ensley Yamamoto, who earned 1st place in the Middle School Essay Contest through Right to Life of Southwest Indiana! Ensley was honored at the 2026 Legacy of Life: Past, Present, & Future Banquet, where she received a $300 award and a magazine featuring her winning essay.

Inspired by the “overall existence of life,” Ensley wrote about the value and purpose of every human life. She shared, “God gave everyone a purpose to life,” and hopes readers will recognize the importance of life and remember that “the world should be a loving place for anyone.”

Ensley also wrote, “God gave us a second chance at life, people should think twice before they end a life.”

We’re so proud of Ensley for using her voice to share her beliefs and stand for the value of life. What an incredible accomplishment!
