MSMC Writing Center

MSMC Writing Center Write to communicate. Write to succeed. The Writing Center is the home for writing at Mount Saint Mary College.

Our primary function is to support students as they’re completing academic writing assignments. The Writing Center’s team of trained writing tutors assists Mount students in all stages of the writing process: brainstorming and organizing ideas; structuring sentences, paragraphs, and essays; strengthening argumentation; incorporating research and appropriate systems of citation; improving grammar a

nd style; and more! Student writing consultations are available from 10 am through 8 pm Monday through Thursday, and from 10 am until 5 pm on Fridays. The Writing Center is located in room 118 of the Dominican Center. The Writing Center is committed to the enrichment of Mount students; we are here to equip the members of our community with the writing skills they will need to effectively communicate and succeed in all their future endeavors. As a member of the larger Mount community, the Writing Center also works closely with faculty in order to engender a culture of writing on campus and sponsors various writing-related events and programs.
