We’re wrapping up five FULL weeks of Summer Camp with house made lemonade served to the grownups (per tradition) and messages like this one are the best souvenir we could ask for! 💛🍋

“Little Friends was so great for our children that we decided to enroll our toddler in it. It’s been an amazing way for our kids to feel confident and get to know themselves and develop close friendships. Also the community we built up with the parents and teachers is second to none. It’s just been a beautiful journey and we wish all people could get the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful gift that Little Friends is to Newburgh and it’s students and families.”

It takes a whole village to raise a confident, curious, good citizen and I feel so lucky to stand hand in hand with ours every day. As a Director, Early Childhood Educator and Mother, I get to watch our staff show up again and give their full hearts to every moment, never treating a single one as ordinary. It’s A PRIVILEGE we all carry quietly, in every early morning greeting, impatient and patient moment and the occasional tearful goodbye turned into tomorrow’s warmer hello.

And then there’s Graduation and Moving Up day! Oh boy did this year hurt in the best way possible— that bittersweet ache of watching a child leave the Little Friends nest and fly off to wonderful new adventures. It hurts because it means we did our job. It hurts because the students rose up and blossomed with each returning year, becoming outstanding individuals that their younger peers looked up to, learned from, and grew beside. So cheers to always more! And to our now alumni: you know our door will always be open and welcome to yall, whenever you’d like to return and share how far you’ve flown. 💛

Thank you again families for trusting us with that privilege. It takes a Newburgh village and we never forget how lucky we are to be part of yours.
