Every season starts the same way. A pile of LEGO on the table, a blank strategy sheet, and a room full of kids who think there's no way this is going to work.

Then something clicks. The robot actually moves. Somebody finally gets that attachment to stay on. And a few months later, they're standing at a competition explaining their design to a judge like they've been doing this forever.

That's the whole thing. That's why we're here.

That's FIRST LEGO League.

This year's challenge is BIOGLOW. Biodiversity, habitats, and the tech that helps protect them. Teams pick a real problem, dig into it, and build a robot that does addresses.

Ages 9 to 14. Weekly, 4:30 to 6:30 PM, starting the week of September 14.

You don't need any experience. Most of our kids had never built a robot before their first season.

Week one of Junior Coding Lab is underway!
This week, our campers got hands-on with Scratch, a visual programming language that makes coding intuitive and fun for young learners. They built their first animated projects, practiced pair programming, and picked up skills that go way beyond the screen: sequencing, logic, and creative problem-solving. We can't wait to show you what they build next.

A SUMMER BUILT FOR NEWBURGH.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Orange, Sullivan & Rockland, Summer Camp 2026 is now more accessible than ever, empowering young makers ages 7–14 to build, code, design, and discover from July through August.

Full-week camps are now just $275–$300 per week, with multi-week discounts available for families booking more than one session. Full scholarships are also available.

If your kid is an artist, inventor, or both, we have a camp for them. Newburgh Creates camps mix art and technology with lots of hands-on projects. They are made for kids ages 7 to 14, and all skill levels are welcome.
