Some of the most special moments at Newberry College happen because of the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make them possible.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carrie Whittier, Assistant Vice President of Student Development and Engagement, for the compassion, leadership, and incredible dedication she brings to every Newberry College orientation and Move-In Day.
Carrie puts her heart into creating an experience where students and families feel welcomed, supported, and excited to begin their Newberry journey. From countless details and long hours of preparation to simply being there when someone needs a helping hand, her commitment to our students is evident in everything she does.
And none of it happens alone. Carrie leads an incredible Student Affairs team whose energy, teamwork, and dedication bring it all together.
A special thank you as well to the departments, student groups, and athletic teams from across campus who stepped up to welcome families, carry boxes, answer questions, and help our newest Wolves get settled. Move-In Day is truly a campuswide effort, and your willingness to pitch in demonstrates the sense of community and belonging that makes Newberry so special.
