Just Keep Teaching

|| COLLABORATION || As I dive deeper into what being an IB World School looks like, this word keeps showing up in everything I read. Increase student and teacher collaboration and you’ll see the fruits of that labor. My students are using a new reading curriculum this year and it’s so beautiful to watch them work together on so many levels. Building that routine to our subject areas has made such a huge difference! Set norms as a class and follow them every time- I promise you’ll see a difference! What do you do to increase collaboration in the classroom?

The life of a teacher kid- she’s learning early that we spend summer prepping for the next school year! 🤣 She was such a trooper today and just played for hours while .a.bunga84 and I organized and labeled all of my 1000’s of books 😳 I love these bins I snagged from the Dollar Spot! They were perfect for all of my novels!

When Lion King is life. 🦁 This kid loves Disney- any and all- but when The Lion King comes on, she does this every time 🤣🤣🤣

It’s the last week of school! We are celebrating by getting ready for next years students. My kiddos had some great advice 😉

Working out keeps me sane as a teacher- it’s a stress reliever, makes me feel better, gives me energy, the list could go on... what do you to care for yourself? If you can’t think of anything- remember that you are a person and need self-care. These dats are tough, but so are you! Find something you love to do and do it! It will make you feel better, promise!

Thank you to all the teachers out there making it work. You were thrown into uncharted territory and you’ve overcome, adapted, and made it look flawless (even if you know it’s not!) That’s one of the awesome things about teachers, they can adapt and change on a dime because that’s what we do everyday in class. I’m amazed at the community of teachers that have pulled together to help everyone. I’m so very thankful to be a part of this community every day, but especially these past couple months!
