✋ October means High Five Fridays!!!

We were lucky enough to add today’s High Five Friday to an already exciting day filled with Homecoming Spirit and our annual Jag Jog. It’s busy and fun-filled day at Joan Austin, and our Jaguars are showing plenty of school spirit ✋🐆🐆

Today, we came together as one school for our all-school picture!

A special thank-you to Newberg-Dundee Police Detective Ariel for bringing out his drone to capture this memorable occasion, and to SRO Stearn for helping us organize and bringing the DARE car. We appreciate your time and your continued support of our Joan Austin community!!

🏃‍♀️🐆 Jag Jog is this Friday, and we still need many more volunteers! 🐆🏃‍♂️

Jag Jog is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we need lots of volunteers to make it a fun and successful day for our students. Please look at the opportunities below and consider signing up!

The good news is that most volunteer positions are outside and do not require a district Volunteer Badge.

✅ No Volunteer Badge Needed:

Lap Markers
Snack Station
Check-In Station
Field Cleanup

These opportunities are available during all grade-level sessions.

🔖 Volunteer Badge Required:

Setup
Class Helpers
Certificate Writers

Grandparents and older siblings are also welcome to help! If you can stay and volunteer during more than one grade-level session, we would greatly appreciate it.

It’s Homecoming Spirit Week, and today was Western Day! Look at all the cowboys and cowgirls who showed up at Joan Austin. We loved seeing everyone’s boots, hats, bandanas, and flannels. Amazing school spirit! Way to saddle up and show your Jaguar Pride. 🐆

Hello Families,

Thank you for RSVPing for Coffee and Pastries with the Principal.

Due to limited interest, we will be canceling the 2:30 p.m. session. The 8:00 a.m. session will still take place, as we received enough RSVPs to continue.

We still have room for additional families at 8:00 a.m. If you originally signed up for the afternoon session and would like to attend in the morning instead, please let me know as soon as possible. This will help us make sure we have enough coffee and pastries for everyone.

Thank you! We look forward to connecting with you.
