A few pictures from the past two weeks.

The gardens are giving their final harvests of the year and winding down as fall is well underway with her colorful changes, readying herself for the cooler, wet weather.

The house is filled with the aroma of drying celery and the butternut squash baking in the oven for a big pot of soup.
I am about to sit and write for awhile as my gift of dreaming calls loudly to create. Blessed be.

Here are some current pictures of my SubHERBan gardens. There is still much to do...a garden, afterall it is a living, ever changing wonder that needs tended. More next week or so

What I find within my magical food forest (a form of permaculture) is while tending her, she actually is taking care of me!! The obvious is the production of
non- gmo organic food but also, raw medicine, gifts, art supplies, exercise, nature's wonders (life cycles, birds, pollinators, insects, etc) & beauty. All these things individually are reasons to grow a garden even if it's just a few potted plants.
PFor me this passion is deeply spiritual, a direct connection to the divine! This is my sanctuary where I give thanks, meditate, grow and dream. I have entertained, taught, cried, laughed, sweated, danced and learned so much in this blessed space I call home.

An early dinner, food is medicine.
Made my own dressing with healing herbs like oregano, thyme, garlic, turmeric, dill mixed it into org. evoo, homemade apple cider vinegar and stone ground mustard and dressed organic veggies add shrimp seasoned with coconut aminos and sirracha.

Haven't been posting much sorry. Here's a bit of the last week. There's still soooo much to do 🤪 it's not good for me to not be in the gardens. I will add comments under pictures for those who appreciate the info. I haven't been in the gardens like usual due to heat and business of the summer.

I've been writing a lot, lately, I mean a lot!!! 🤣 It's mostly personal but here's something I can share:

*GOOD MORNING*
The sunlit morning beckons me to rise,
I stretch a bit and rub my eyes.
The kettle's on and birds are singing,
Filled with curiosity of what today is bringing.
I step outside into my sanctuary,
Where it is peaceful, crisp and airy.
I sit in my garden sipping tea,
Being with nature brings joy to me.
The trees gently blowing,
And seeds self-sowing.
So much movement all around,
The robins hopping on the ground.
Finches flutter about and jays squawk,
Hummers hover beneath the soaring hawk.
Bees and butterflies begin to wake,
So much happening at day's break.
And as I sit and meditate,
I wonder what things await...
Welcoming this beautiful moment today,
Thankful for the blessings that come my way.
I listen for Universe to share with me,
While I ponder what is to be.
I ready myself for the day ahead,
Grateful that it is Spirit led.
With last night's dreams tucked away in my heart,
And this glorious morning's start.
I'm feeling peace of mind with children on the way,
I'm now ready to begin my fun yet busy day.
