We had one of our new people test on Friday evening for the rank of Gokyu. This person had no prior training experience and with only three months of training did this. What an impressive young lady.

Shin Kokyu is a combination of posture and breathing exercising to enhance your Aikido training.
The hip throw; Koshi Nage demonstrated by 10 year olds
Some of the boys, about 10 years old, practicing a hip throw. This particular practice is loading the attacker prior to throwing. This amounts to 85% of the work, the throw is easy from here. Safety is important, so we go through the steps to instill confidence and strength through proper practice.
