We couldn’t be more proud of Austin for representing Hodgson in the SkillsUSA National Plumbing Competition!
While the results weren’t what we had hoped for, his hard work, dedication, and commitment to his craft never went unnoticed. Competing on the national stage is an incredible accomplishment, and we’re proud of the way he represented himself, our school, and the Plumbing program all week long.

A huge thank you to Mike Parodi (Vice President/Owner), Brian Eppelheimer, and Peyton Brown, an HVT graduate, from Breslin Contracting, Inc. for visiting our Silver Eagles and speaking on behalf of ABC Delaware!
Yesterday, they met with both our 10th and 11th grade construction trades students to share the importance of staying in the construction industry and the many career opportunities available after graduation. Students from Plumbing, Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical, and Industrial Maintenance had the chance to hear firsthand about industry experiences, workforce needs, and pathways to success in the skilled trades.
We truly appreciate our industry partners for investing in the future of our students and helping connect classroom learning to real-world careers!

Steven Degnars (Plumbing – Bear Industries) and Xavier Cruz (Electrical – Nickle Electrical) were both honored for their hard work and dedication in the trades. Each student received a tool bag and gift card to help continue building their careers — and even more exciting, both have officially been hired full-time by their co-op employers!
We are so proud to see our students turning their skills, experience, and work ethic into real career opportunities. The future is bright for these two.
