A remarkable day at the Children's Science Adventure on November 2, 2019! The Delaware Academy of Chemical Sciences had displays on metals, the theme of National Chemistry Week by the American Chemical Society. Students examines electrochemical cells, were able to explore an iron cannonball and magnetism, and found objects using a metal detector. Thanks are extended to The Independence School and all of the participating volunteers, including Ed Adams, Chris Petersen, Norm Henry, Martha Holloman and Al Denio!

The Delaware Academy of Chemical Sciences enjoyed participating in the American Chemical Society-Delaware Section event held November 3, 2018. With this year's theme, "Chemistry is Out of This World," students were tasked with powering a space station and invited to explore silicon-based solar cells at the DACS demo table.
