Talent gets attention.
But discipline is what creates real separation.
The disciplined baseball player doesn’t wait until they feel motivated.
They show up tired.
They do the extra work.
They control their reaction after failure.
They prepare when nobody is watching.
They hold themselves to a higher standard.
That’s what coaches notice.
Because at the next level, everyone has talent.
The separator is who can stay consistent when the game gets hard.
If you’re a high school baseball player who wants to develop the discipline, mindset, and habits to separate yourself…

Stop looking for a hitting coach and expecting that working on your swing mechanics alone is what’s going to help you play in college.
What you truly need is a mentor who can help you develop not just your swing mechanics, but what I call a hitter mentality — or a competitor mentality.
Having a mentor who can help you on a daily basis, who has walked the same path you’re on, and who has played at the level you’re looking to reach is what will help you leverage all the hard work you’re already putting in.
It’s what will help you avoid wasting time on the wrong things — like chasing a good-looking swing without having the right system and mentality that truly help players reach their full potential.

Contact Period is when recruiting actually happens.
Not Quiet Period. Not Dead Period.
This is when a coach can watch you play live, show up at your school, and talk to you face to face.
Most players wait around for that moment to come to them.
The ones who get recruited go find it first.
Swipe through the 2026-27 windows. Know the dates. Have your film ready. Be playing your best baseball right now.
Because when that window opens, you don’t get a redo.
Parents — this is where you help without taking over. Track the calendar. Organize the film. Let him do the talking.
Reps create development. Development creates confidence. Confidence creates opportunity.

Happy birthday to my oldest son, Cameron. The day you were born was the day I truly understood what love means.
I’m so proud of the young man you’re becoming especially the way you help your little brother Cody… most of the time 😂
Some days, your mom and I feel overwhelmed raising two boys with so much energy, but we love you more than words can explain. I couldn’t imagine our life without you.
I’m not a perfect dad, but I would do anything to see you smile. I promise to keep growing as a man and becoming the best role model I can be for you and Cody so you both can become 10x better than me at anything you fall in love with.
Love you so much, Cam. ❤️🎉
