Our first-year students, along with faculty and alumni, spent the weekend volunteering at the Special Olympics Summer Games! They conducted fitness screenings focused on flexibility, strength, endurance, and balance, while also supporting young athletes across a variety of sports through the Young Athletes program. It was an incredible weekend meeting so many athletes and families! π«

Our 2nd years spent their final PT school lab learning splint fabrication, creating custom wrist control and opponens hand splints. Thank you to Dr. Barbara DeMarco and Ms. Annie Chen for helping make this final lab such a special one.

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Dr. Patt Fay on successfully defending her dissertation and earning her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from New York Medical College. Her dissertation, βIs there an association between physical therapy utilization for persons with stroke admitted to the ICU and unplanned readmission?
