Meet our amazing outreach coordinator Jamie Benson. Jamie is a 4th year PhD student in BME, and her research is focused on understanding cartilage lubrication mechanics and how our everyday behaviors (i.e. sitting, standing, walking) affect cartilage function and health. Outside of research she enjoys playing with her very cute newly adopted dog Frannie. 😍

Please meet our amazing co-Chair Ishaani Priyadarshini. Ishaani is a PhD Candidate in the ECE department at University of Delaware and her areas of research include Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Applied Machine Learning.

This year we celebrate  by starting a new section on our social media and introducing our amazing Chair Iflah Laraib who is part of the UD WiE board since 2017. Iflah is a 5th year PhD in the department of Materials Science and Engineering in Janotti research group and studies the defects and charge transport in complex metal oxide semiconductors.

Hi everyone,

Women in Engineering (WIE) will be hosting the annual Meet Your Faculty Lunch with Professors Monique Head from the Civil and Environmental Engineering department and Laure Kayser from the Material Science and Engineering department.

Join us for an interactive conversation and question and answer session as we learn more about UD faculty and their career paths. Lunch will be provided!

Who: All STEM graduate students and postdocs are welcome!
When: March 17th, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm
Where: Perkins Student Center, Collins Room

Thank You For Making 2019 Events Great!!

Join us at Chipotle on Main Street on the 30th September, from 5 pm to 9 pm, have a dinner meal with friends while supporting education for underprivileged children in India.

Impact: 33% of the proceeds will be donated to the non-profit organization 'Asha for Education' equivalent to TWO textbooks per meal.

This a fundraiser being done by ' Asha for Education', a non-profit organization in UD, in collaboration with Chipotle.
