Essay Contest - The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks | First Year Common Reader
All first-year students are invited to submit a short essay related to this year's common reader as well as a question for the author. The essay contest winners will be invited to a special limited seating presentation by Rebecca Skloot and a member of the Lacks family.

UD construction projects were in full gear over summer months
9:50 a.m., Sept. 2, 2011--While many members of the University of Delaware community were away from campus during the summer, work continued on construction projects ranging from the new University Bookstore to the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory.

Vice President to make public appearance at UD
11:19 a.m., Sept. 1, 2011--Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. will visit the University of Delaware on Friday, Sept. 16. Biden will donate his Senatorial papers and deliver the James R. Soles Lecture on the Constitution and Citizenship.
