Kudos to Rachelle Reid, Coordinator of Data Governance at EduTech, for her work at this spring’s RIC One Data Privacy and Security Service (DPSS) conference! Rachelle was part of the team behind the scenes, helping plan sessions, support presenters, and make the event a success for attendees from across the state.
As we head into the end of the school year, Rachelle reminds us that even simple habits can help protect student information, like locking devices, securing physical documents, and sharing data only with those who need it.
Thank you, Rachelle, for your dedication to keeping student data safe! 🔒

This month, students in several of our education programs were treated to ice cream, music and dancing to celebrate their classroom achievements! Many of our classrooms utilize progress-monitoring software to establish benchmarks and measure progression towards grade-level achievement and higher.
Similar to their celebration in December, the iReady character Stark made its way around our Education Centers at Newark, Manchester-Shortsville, Midlakes, Marcus Whitman and Bloomfield, delivering ice cream and fun times for all.
Students enjoyed some music and dancing with Stark, while others wanted a big hug or a high five. One thing is for sure — there were no shortage of smiles!
We’re so proud of our students for all that they’ve accomplished this year!

This month, we're shining our Staff Spotlight on Jessica Nightingale, our Conference Center Coordinator!
Though Jessica joined our team less than a year ago, she's already become a vital team player in this organization. She approaches every event with a can-do attitude, helpful ideas and the most contagious smile on her face. She brings so much joy and positivity to The Conference Center, and we are so lucky she decided to come work at W-FL BOCES last fall.
"I get the privilege of showcasing this beautiful and amazing Conference Center to our partners, our Component Districts, the community and our own employees, and that’s awesome," Jessica said when asked about her work. "I love that I get to make a positive contribution every day."
Jessica, THANK YOU for Making Success Possible for our region every day!

W-FL BOCES Board of Education Members Linda Eygnor, Anne Morgan, Lynn Gay, Heather Bachman and Pam Pendleton had the pleasure of attending the recent Four County School Boards Association's Annual Meeting Dinner, which also honored our Student Board Members.
Along with their parents, we heard from Student Board Members from several of our Component Districts about their experience as board members and their ideas for the future. Each student received a yearbook and gift bag, and it was a wonderful evening visiting with our student representatives and showing our appreciation for their dedication.

Last month, Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES hosted the 2025-26 Elevating Student Voices Youth Summit!
The day began with an engaging keynote from resiliency expert Duncan Kirkwood Speaks. During lunchtime, students from across the region presented the student voice projects they built throughout the school year. Small group sessions plus a student and community member panel capped off the day.
Congratulations and thank you to all the students who participated in ESV this year! We are already looking forward to next year’s cohort 👏
