Hawkins Street School welcomed Mr. Starace as our Principal for a Day. We enjoyed hosting Mr. Starace for this special event. Throughout the day he was able to experience the essence of being a part of our Hawkins community. Hawkins Street School was honored to celebrate the students who were awarded with Best of the Best awards. They elevated the excellence throughout the school year and this night was to honor them and for them to shine. Congratulations to all of our Best of the Best award recipients. Hawkins Street School would like to share a video of our amazing Hawkins Visual Art Gallery! It was wonderful to see our students’ creativity, talent, and hard work beautifully displayed throughout the Gym and the demonstrations in the Library. It was a wonderful experience that celebrated our students’ artistic talents and made our Hawks proud!

Hawkins Street School welcomed Thumbelina Newsome for an author visit for grades K-3. She read her book “I’m a Thumbprint “. She used her book to encourage the students to help discover who they are, find courage in difficult moments, and shine with kindness wherever they go. We are so thankful for her visit!
