National Faith HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is observed on the last Sunday in August. On August 30, we recognize the importance that faith-based organizations have in communities most impacted by HIV and encourage faith leaders to engage with healthcare professionals, educators, advocates, and others to reduce HIV stigma and discrimination and promote HIV testing, prevention, care, and treatment services in their communities. We are making progress, NJ! (CS) rates are down 50% from 2024. With support from the New Jersey Department of Health, the FXB Center Rutgers coordinates TA & training via a Community Action Board and Case Review Teams to implement systems change to improve perinatal & CS prevention. Reduced CS rates is an example of this work in action.
