Today’s Feature: FXB Clinical Practice
The FXB Clinic is a cornerstone of the FXB Center. Born out of the former Children’s Hospital AIDS Program (1985), it was one of the first pediatric centers in the US treating children with HIV/AIDS. Cofounders James Oleske, MD, and Mary Boland, DrPH, RN, a doctor and a nurse, created a world-renowned interdisciplinary/family-centered model of care delivery. 40 years later, the FXB Clinic continues to provide status-neutral HIV primary care to women, children and families in Newark and surrounding communities. Carol Davison, nurse practitioner & Clinic Director, leads a staff of nurses, social workers, a registered dietician, and case managers, who provide evidence-based health care and coordinated medical case management services. The FXB Clinic has exemplified the power of nurse since its inception.

Child Health Program (CHP) - François-Xavier Bagnoud Center CHP is a nursing program that supports the child welfare goals of the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF)/Child Protection and Permanency (CP&P).

New diagnosis rates among / in NJ have shown a disproportionate increase compared to other groups, particularly those 24-35 yo.

Phase 2 of the Ask for an HIV Test campaign has launched with new graphics & info for Latin men. This campaign aims to increase awareness about the importance of and encourage consumers to make getting an HIV test as routine as other personal care activities.
