At Worcester Technical High School (WTHS), all students are challenged to prepare for college and future careers in a global economy. The school is centrally located in Newark, Maryland and serves students in grades 9 through 12 enrolled in the three area high schools that elect to pursue a certificate in a career field as well as academic preparation for college. academies: pre-engineering, biom

State of the art technology used in business and industry is taught in all program areas, with all programs designed to meet current and future local and national job market needs. Together, students, parents, and teachers set high expectations for students to achieve academically, technically, and socially. The motto of Worcester Technical High School is "Teaching the Whole Student."

What an amazing day at WTHS. We started our day welcoming teachers back with walk up songs for our new staff, shouted out our amazing custodians for all their hard work, authentically engaged with a lot of professional learning centered around exciting district initiatives, and culminated after hours with team building on the Pocomoke River! It's going to be a great 2026-27. Let's go WTHS!!!

Mark your calendars! Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week will take place from Sunday, August. 9 through Saturday, August 15, 2026. During this period, qualifying clothing and footwear priced $100 or less, along with the first $40 of any backpack or bookbag purchase are exempt from Maryland's 6% sales tax.

This year's campaign theme, Save on Essentials, highlights the opportunity for families to prepare for the upcoming school year while reducing back-to-school expenses.
